Samantha Brett (CEO & Founder of Naked Sundays) and Scheana Shay attend the Naked Sundays x REVOLVE launch party
By Hannah Muehlberger
Yesterday was the celebration of the launch of Australian SPF brand Naked Sundays into Revolve with a Naked Sundays x REVOLVE Launch Party at Melrose Place LA on September 22, 2022, in West Hollywood. Aussies were certainly in the house as Newlyweds Scheana Shay and Australian, Brock Davies supported fellow Aussie, Samantha Brett (CEO & Founder of Naked Sundays). The Naked Sundays x REVOLVE Launch Party was an intimate lunch filled with food, drinks, and a ton of SPF 50. A very new blonde Rumer Willis (Actress) attended and showed her love for the sun care brand by showing all how she got ready for the event using the Naked Sunday Glow Body Mist SPF50. The event attracted content creators and influencers, such as Annie Bing, Teni Panosian, and Kirsty Godso who traveled from San Diego, Dallas, and New York to get their hands on the newly launched Naked Sunday Hydrating SPF50 Shimmery Gold Body Sunscreen. This Shimmery Gold Body Sunscreen is packed with a nourishing blend of antioxidants and ultra-fine specs of golden glow color to give that “just got back from St. Barts” sun-kissed finish! As summer is winding down, and we head into fall, maintaining your glow with this 100% vegan, firming and skin-tightening lotion will protect you from the sun. Infused with exclusive Vegan Collagen (a mix of plant extracts created to mimic the composition of animal-derived collagen but with molecules small enough to be penetrated into the skin), as well as watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid, and tomato extract for added blue light protection. Naked Sundays SPFs are all multi-tasking, 4in1 products. They are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, with no oxybenzone, no octinoxate, no white cast, no mineral oil, no parabens, and no BS. The products are also free from sulfates (SLS/SLES), GOs, petrolatum, or synthetic colors. The creams and serums are 100% fragrance-free.
When Naked Sundays burst onto the SPF scene 18 months ago, the sunscreen industry in Australia was transformed. Naked Sunday’s range of “BeautyScreens” (hybrid beauty products and SPF) completely sold out in 24 hours and a cult brand was born. The hero product is the first SPF50+ Hydrating Glow Mist specifically designed for OVER makeup. This was followed closely by a Vegan Collagen infused with 100% Mineral SPF, the world’s first completely clear SPF50 Clear Glow Sun Serum, and the world’s first SPF50 Lip Oil. After launching in the US last week, celebrities, influencers, and retailers have been clamoring to get Naked Sundays into their doors, with the brand currently negotiating a deal with a high-end retailer US-wide.
The brand is the brainchild of breaking Television News Reporter Samantha Brett, who after being out in the sun for hours on end in heavy makeup, and witnessing multiple colleagues have to get skin cancers cut out of their faces, something needed to be done. After polling 2000 millennials, Samantha learned that the reason 70% don’t wear SPF* (Pollfish) every day is because it’s white, sticky, and not good for your skin, plus can’t be reapplied over makeup. So Samantha spent two years working with the top experts in TGA manufacturing (Australia’s extremely strict regulatory body) to create a range of high-performance SPF50+ sunscreen mists and creams.
