Country music has made its mark in music history and has made it big. Festivals dedicated to celebrating this genre have thrived in recent years, with many avid festivalgoers citing some of the bigger country festivals as their favorite events of the entire calendar year. And in 2020, country festivals and music festivals at-large are continuing to grow bigger and better than ever. Here are some of the most highly anticipated country music festivals coming down the road in 2020:


Stagecoach Festival

(April 24 – 26, 2020)

Taking place in Indio, CA, home to Coachella, Stagecoach this year will feature headliners Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Eric Church. Other lined-up performers include Brett Young, Dustin Lynch, Dan + Shay, Alan Jackson, and Midland. Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X, who won Grammy Awards for their hit single “Old Town Road”, which spent seventeen consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, will also be performing. Additional features include Guy Fieri’s Stagecoach Smokehouse, Nikki Lane’s Stage Stop Marketplace, and Diplo: Late Night in Palomino.




CMA Fest

(June 4-7, 2020)

Originally conceived in 1972, this long-running country music festival out of Nashville, TN is one of the few absolute must-visit festival destinations for country music lovers. This festival spans three different venues across downtown Nashville, showcasing the very best of past, present, and up-and-coming country music stars. Activation booths with free giveaways, prizes, and souvenirs to remember your trip with abound. End your night with a visit to Nissan Stadium, where big headliners like Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osbourne, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert have performed before.



Country Fest 2020

(June 25-27, 2020)

This country festival, established in 1987 and taking place in Cadott, Wisconsin, is one of the best summer destinations for country music fanatics. Past festival headliners have included true legends of the genre, such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Reba McEntire, just to name a few. Other household names to take the Country Fest stage include George Strait, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift. This year’s headliners are Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, and Kane Brown.




Tailgate Fest

(August 15-16, 2020)

With a tagline like “Pull Up. Park. Party.”, Tailgate Fest brings the music to you, so you can partake in all the joys of the ultimate tailgate experience. Located in Fontana, CA, Tailgate Fest celebrates all the amazing aspects of tailgating culture: food, fun, friends, and free spirits. And for those who decide they don’t want to experience the entirety of the show from the parking lot, a general admission stage is also available for a traditional experience to the show – front and center. Other weekend activities include Extreme Cornhole Championships, the Jacked-Up Truck Competition, Two-Step Honky Tonk, and a Bloody Mary Brunch.
